Overview

A Java Swing desktop app with registration, login, appointment booking and an admin panel; talks to MySQL over JDBC and builds with Maven.

  • Patient UI: register, log in, book and list appointments. Admin UI: all users and appointments.

Problem

My first 'real' application: two roles, persistent data and a UI. The goal was to build authentication and the data model end to end on my own.

Approach

Swing screens (login, register, appointment, admin) in separate classes; a HospitalDB class centralizes the JDBC connection and queries. User and appointment tables live in MySQL.

Outcome

A working automation, and an early lesson in why centralizing database access in one class is a good idea.
